Attention Visitors: Due to major construction, there is no parking or pedestrian access on the south side of Smith Warehouse. Visitors will need to access our office by entering the building at Bay 8 on the north side. There are 11 visitor parking spots at the entrance of the Smith Warehouse parking lot on the north side of the building. In addition, there is an unpaved visitor parking lot on the other side of Buchanan Blvd., just south of the railroad tracks.
Visitors are also encouraged to take the campus bus to our office. A new West Campus-Smith Warehouse shuttle began operation on October 7, 2009, which runs every 20 minutes from 8:00 a.m. until 6;00 p.m. The C-6 bus also takes passengers from both West and East Campus to Smith Warehouse. The C-6 runs every half-hour from 7:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Directions: From Greensboro and Points West
Via 1-85 North: Take the ramp on the left towards Burlington/Durham
Merge onto NC-147 S. (exit 172)
Take Chapel Hill St exit (exit number 13)
Turn RIGHT onto Chapel Hill St.
At the second traffic light, turn RIGHT onto Buchanan Blvd.
From Richmond and Points North Via I-85 South: In Durham
Take the US-460 W/Durham Atlanta exit (exit 51)
Take Duke St./Gregson St exit (exit number 176B)
Turn LEFT onto Duke St - Stay in the far right lane
Duke St will turn into Gregson St.
As you are coming to the second traffic light, for right
Merge onto Club Blvd.
Turn LEFT onto Buchanan Blvd.
From RDU Airport, Raleigh and Points East Via I-40 West: Stay in one of the two far right lanes
Take exit number 279B(Durham/Downtown)
This should allow you to merge onto NC-147N (Durham Freeway)
Take the Swift Ave. exit (exit number 14) towards Duke Univ. East Campus
Turn RIGHT onto Swift Ave.
Turn RIGHT onto Main St.
Turn RIGHT onto Buchanan Blvd.
From Chapel Hill Via US. 15-501 North.
Take 15-501 North to exit 105A towards I-85/Durham/Downtown/Duke Univ/Med
Merge onto US-15 BYP N/US-501 BYP N.
Take the NC-147 S exit (exit number 108B)
Take the Swift Ave. exit (exit number 14) towards Duke Univer. East Campus
Turn LEFT onto Swift Ave.
Turn RIGHT onto Main St.
Turn RIGHT onto Buchanan Blvd.
